Rebecca Sandalo Lopez-Golden, a retired nurse, author, and beloved family member, has had a significant impact on those around her. Raised among twelve siblings, she learned the values of resilience and compassion early in life. Graduating from nursing school (Southern Islands School of Nursing) in 1969, she devoted over five decades to surgical nursing. In Alta Bates Medical Center, she served her 33 years as a charge nurse in orthopedic surgical services, while also overseeing all surgical services in the Operating Room. Alongside her clinical work, Rebecca pursued education and professional development, earning certifications and organizing successful educational events. Despite challenges, she finds joy in adventures and cherishes time with her family. Moreover, her love and resilience continue to inspire others.
